Apotheca Flower Photo Shoot - Part II

Well, I was at it once again shooting some arrangements for my favorite flower shoppe.......Apotheca.  I again took advantage of all the great features and elements that are right in her shoppe, from the vintage rocking chair, the antique mirrors as well as the wooden wagon that is sitting on the porch welcoming patrons in.

This collection of arrangements had a bit more punch and color to them (my favorite) so I made sure to feature and showcase the drama of her arrangements.

Nice job Alyssa...these were so much fun and so creative!  I have to say...shooting gorgeous flowers as well as the aroma in the shoppe is breathtaking....I just love my job.  Enjoy.

Apotheca Flower Shoppe Photo Shoot

My dear friend Alyssa from Apotheca Flower Shoppe invited me to her quaint shoppe to take a few photos of some beautiful arrangements for a wedding she was doing. If you haven't had a chance to visit this little gem, take the time to check it out. Located in Gofftstown Village in an old converted train station, it's a wonderful place to order some flowers, shop and pick up a trinkit or two from the gift shoppe and of course order a great cup of something delicious from their fabulous coffee bar. The outdoor area to sit, read a book and take in the nice spring weather makes for a great day! Here's some photos from that shoot.

My Beautiful Sister.....Linda

I wanted to get back into bloging again but the year didn't start out that great and I've been consumed with some personal family things. One being my beloved older sister Linda. My sister was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) 8 years ago and her fight and struggle with this hideous disease has taken a toll on our lives. She was way to young to have something so cruel and her two young daughters were robbed of their mother. Unfortunately, my sister's battle ended on March 14, 2009. She died with her entire family around her and the only comfort I have is knowing she is no longer suffering.

We've all heard the sayings......live your life to the fullest.....never take life for granted because you never know when it will be over with. If I have learned anything through this journey, it's those sayings are more than sayings...they are real. Although my sister's life was short...she had an incredible life with an amazing husband, two great kids and many friends that were there for her every step of the way.

The out pouring of love and support from her friends and neighborhood was truly an eye opening experience. My sister was truly blessed to have such amazing people in her life and she was so loved by so many people.

My sister was a kind, gentle soul that always thought of everyone before herself, even during her illness. It wasn't unusual for her to pick up things when shopping for her family and friends if she knew they would love it. That was my sister. She never judged anyone and truly was an angel on earth.

I'm still mourning her and the days are more silent with her not here and the feeling of missing her is setting in but we made a promise to her that we would celebrate her life. That's easier said than done but a promise is a promise......

So Linda....from your baby sister....I miss you more than I can even comprehend. Your strength and courage were so incredible and you endured more than any human being should have. I hope to be given the same strength to get through life without you because an entire piece of my heart is completely missing and I am broken with you gone. I love you to the moon and back. I know one day we will be together again! XOXO You will never be forgotten!

Spread your wings and fly!
