Engagement Sessions are a perfect way to get more comfortable in front of the camera and working with your photographer before the big day. I love how my couple, Lorena & Gabriel decided on dressing up and picking a great location.  Gorgeous couple, elegantly dressed up with great city views as their backdrop on a beautiful evening....enough said.

Cupcakes instead of your typical wedding cake is not only adorable, but quirky and fun.   My couple Matt & Melissa had several different flavors of cupcakes on display throughout the reception and guests went up and grabbed whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted.  Makes a great snack after a night of dancing.

Adding a look or theme to your wedding is not only creative and fun but can be so beautiful.  This bride went with a very 50's style up do, a romantic flower piece with feathers for her hair and long dangling vintage earrings.  The flowers were a beautiful pink tone tightly tied with a ribbon.  The entire palette to her wedding was soft, romantic and very old hollywood!

Harrington Flowers Floral Design Shoot...

Here are some fabulous floral designs from Brad at Harrington Flowers.  I teamed up with him to photograph his recent designs and I must say...they are crazy unique and super fun.  Ladies...don't you just love the flower shoe?  Would make a great centerpiece on the card table, the couples table or even at a bridal shower!  Would be the talk of the day! ;D  More to come but here are a few from the shoot.  Also, thanks to Jen for modeling for us.

Elegant Trash the Dress Session...

I came across these oldies but goodies and I just had to re-post them.  I did a trash the dress shoot with my past bride Liz as my model, for what turned out to be a very sultry, elegant shoot!  Liz looked amazing and the lighting and location of the shoot made the whole thing look and feel like it was from the medieval days.  Here's a few photos from the shoot...Enjoy!

If you are having your wedding reception at a location that has some unique elements to it, such as this old vintage barn, make sure you use it as a cool backdrop for your photographs. I love the old of the building and the new of the bride and her wedding gown.  It's different, cool and plan awesome!

Fabulous Ideas - Wedding Edition #009

If you are planning an Ultra, over the top evening wedding or a New Year's Eve style wedding, consider doing something a bit more daring with your makeup by adding a glitter eye shadow and bright red lips. It's wild, loud and really stands out. You can also consider doing a more romantic look for the ceremony and then having your makeup artist stick around and add this for the reception and party segment of your wedding.   I am also digging the disco ball jeweled ring!
